gscreen g400 dual screen laptop
The Alaskan based company gScreen Computer Corporation have introduced their up and coming gScreen G400 Dual Screen Laptop which they bill as being ‘the first true, dual-screen laptop with identical 15-ince LED-backlit displays’ and which can be reserved towards the end of this month (though no actual date of release appears to be specified).
Whilst details are a little sparse at the time of writing, the company have confirmed that their gScreen G400 Dual Screen Laptop, apart from boasting dual 15.4″ LED blacklit displays, will be offered with a choice of Intel Core Duo 2.8 GHz T9600 of 2.26GHz P8400 CPU under the hood and will be offer with between 4GB and 8GB RAM, between 160GB and 500GB 7200rpm capacity hard disk (no mention of an SSD option), Nvidia Quadro FX200M with 512MB or Nvidia GeForce 9800M GT with 512MB graphics cards, and will offer six USB 2.0 ports along with VGA, RJ-45, Firewire 1394 connectivity as well as audio-out.
The gScreen G400, whilst comes bundled with Windows Vista or Windows Vista Pro and which will be powered by a choice of 6 or 9 cell battery packs – no word on endurance with either, however – will apparently be up for pre-order as of 25 February for an as yet undisclosed price and we would hope that, as it becomes available to reserve, not only pricing info (somewhat of a pre-requisite) but also a firm date of shipping will be provided.
